Throughout the nation, we are all experiencing new challenges in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Restrictions placed on our ability to shop, socialize, travel, and work have led to nightjar volunteers questioning whether or not they should be conducting their surveys.

While your survey routes can be completed as a solitary outdoor activity, everyone should adhere to their state’s ordered directives and keep basic social distancing standards in mind when considering whether surveying is appropriate at this time. Ultimately, the decision lies with each of you.
